We are looking for a Video Editor with 2–5 years of experience to support our onsite post-production team. The role involves organizing footage, assisting in edits, and collaborating with senior editors to produce high-quality video content for B2C brands. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically sound, and eager to grow creatively in a fast-paced environment.
1. Footage Organisation and Logging:
Footage Ingestion: Ingest and organize raw footage into editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro,
Final Cut Pro) according to project specifications.
Logging: Create detailed logs and notes for footage, including shot details, takes, and timestamps, to
facilitate efficient editing and retrieval.
2. Editing Assistance:
Assembly Editing: Assist in assembling raw footage into rough cuts and initial sequences under the
guidance of the Senior Editor.
Cutting and Trimming: Perform basic cutting, trimming, and rearranging of clips to refine sequences
and ensure proper pacing and continuity.
Transitions and Effects: Implement basic transitions, effects, and simple graphics as directed by the
Senior Editor to enhance visual appeal and storytelling.
3. Technical Support:
File Management: Maintain organized project files, ensuring proper naming conventions, folder
structures, and backups for efficient workflow.
Quality Control: Conduct basic quality checks on edited sequences, ensuring technical specifications
(e.g., resolution, aspect ratio) are met and footage is error-free.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
Team Coordination: Collaborate with other members of the post-production team, including Senior
Editors, Assistant Editors, and Sound Designers, to ensure seamless integration of visual and audio
elements.
Feedback Incorporation: Incorporate feedback from Senior Editors, Directors, and Producers into
edits, making revisions to improve clarity, storytelling, and overall quality.
5. Creative Input and Development:
Creative Problem-Solving: Assist in solving creative challenges during the editing process, suggesting
alternative approaches and solutions as needed.
Learning and Development: Continuously learn and improve editing skills through mentorship,
training, and hands-on experience, adapting to new techniques and industry trends.
6. Documentation and Administration:
Project Documentation: Maintain detailed records of edits, revisions, and project milestones,
updating project documentation and logs as required.
Delivery Preparation: Assist in preparing final deliverables, ensuring they meet technical
specifications and are ready for client review and distribution.
7. Professional Conduct:
Adherence to Deadlines: Work efficiently to meet editing deadlines and milestones, coordinating
with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Ethical Standards: Adhere to industry standards and best practices, respecting copyright laws and
client confidentiality in all aspects of editing and project management.
Experience: 3 years of experience in video editing for B2C brands.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut
Pro) and basic understanding of editing techniques, transitions, and effects.
Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail in reviewing footage, ensuring continuity, and maintaining
quality throughout the editing process.
Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, receive feedback,
